Architectural Spaces was established in 2001, led by Gráinne O’Neill (BA Hons Interior Design), talented and passionate Interior Designer with over 26 years of experience in the business. She has worked on many prestigious residential and commercial projects, specializing in private homes and renowned establishments.

Gráinne and her creative and highly sought-after team are looking forward to working on new and challenging projects that are bold, exciting and demand accumulative experience, skills and dedication. Our dedicated team are accomplished and practiced across multiple disciplines; this allows us to deliver a cohesive and inclusive design service where we are personally involved with all design stages of the project. We pride ourselves on bringing fresh, innovative, functional, and timeless interpretations to contemporary design ideas and transforming them into new, dynamic and truly original spaces.

From concept to completion, refurbishment to new build, we are involved in all design stages of the project. These include initial 2D and 3D CAD design, Spatial Planning, Electrical and Lighting, Bespoke Joinery, Furniture Design and Specification of Finishes.

We have carefully selected and acquired an extensive library of luxury fabrics, wallpapers, lighting, furniture and more. Our loyal suppliers provide us with the latest and trending design finishes. We network with the top design trade shows in London, Paris and Milan in order to give our clients the most advanced designs and products, complimented by an approachable and personable service. We also design and commission original and bespoke one-off pieces by renowned crafts people.

From these designers and manufacturers, we source the very latest and best in Architectural and Interior Design choices; creating unique, timeless and exceptional spaces for our clients while striking the perfect balance and mood in terms of comfort, function and aesthetic.

Gráinne graduated from DIT with a in BA First Class Hons in Environmental and Spatial Design with a specialist area in Interior Architecture and Design. She moved to Galway where she worked in a prestigious and award winning Architectural firm until she decided to open her own business Architectural Spaces over 21 years ago. She believes as an Interior and Architectural Designer, it her our role to provide our clients with the very best of her knowledge, expertise and experience, which covers over 26 years at the cutting edge of design.

She has extensive skills, dedication and ability to undertake projects and see them through from concept stage to the final finishing touches. She brings creative opportunities to every project and each of her designs are unique. From the first consultation, she strives to provides a comprehensive and fully professional service that is concept focused and centered on our client’s vision, ideas and objectives. Gráinne believes that spaces should be designed from the inside out and that good design is layered and with many layers can produce a finished projects that should exceed our clients expectations and aspirations.

Silvia graduated in Architecture in Italy from Milan University.

Fabio graduated has an Accounting Degree. He is our second Italian addition to the team.

OUR HISTORY

2001

Founded ARCHITECTURAL SPACES

We established our new Interior Architecture Design Service in 2001. We believed then that there was a unique requirement in the market for a team of dedicated professionals who could connect the world of Architects with the world of Interior Designers. Thankfully, our happy clients have proved us right.
Our approach of designing from the Inside Out, refined over twenty years of successful projects, coupled with a real connection with our clients, delivers projects that go beyond the initial client dreams.

2017

Launched NEW DESIGN STUDIO IN LOUTH

We opened our second design studio on the East coast to offer our Interior and Architectural Design services to our clients based on the East coast. Since then we have completed many successful projects within the surrounding area.

2019

Launched ONLINE DESIGN SERVICE

In 2019 we launched The Room Guru, our sister company a completely Online service that changed how architectural services and interior design can be delivered to clients. By defining specific offerings that are bounded and very affordable more people are able to engage the services of an experienced Interior Architect on projects which previously may have been too small for Architects to engage on. The key here is an efficient and professional design service delivered 100% online.

2021 + 2022

IDEAL HOMES EXHIBITION RDS

In Oct 2021 we were delighted to have the opportunity to present our philosophy and approach from the stage at the Ideal Homes Exhibition. A busy but tremendously satisfying couple of days followed helping individuals with all types of design and interior architecture problems proving once again that our unique approach resonated with so many people who were struggling with their projects.

April 2024

Newly Refurbished Design Studio

After many months of design and build we have finally completed our office refurbishment with our newly added The Design Barn private studio area. Nestled among trees and flowers we just love working in our new environment and our clients love to come here and collaborate with us on their projects. We have all fabrics and finishes to hand which makes working on design projects so easy and effortless.

April 2024

Launch of The Design Barn

We are delighted to announce after a long time researching and sourcing and carefully selecting. The Design Barn (@the_design_barn) is opening April 2024. The Design Barn is a library full of selectively sourced luxury fabrics and wall coverings from the best design houses suitable for mid to upper market. We have worked for many years with our selective group of design houses and now we have a beautiful new design showroom to showcase them. Our Design Barn is accessed by appointment only, Tel: 091 533800.
